What We Do

Learn about our IBCLC Mentorship Program!

The Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition offers an IBCLC Mentor Program! This program is to help navigate the process of becoming an IBCLC.

The goal of the IBCLC Mentor Program is to diversify the lactation work force in Nebraska by increasing the number of IBCLCs of color and IBCLCs in rural areas with little to no access to skilled lactation support. We aim to provide easy-to-understand information and mentoring to help you navigate the certification process.

We prioritize our mentor program for aspiring IBCLCs of color or those serving a rural area, but we provide information to anyone who is interested in learning more.

Start out by reviewing our document: Thinking of Becoming an IBCLC?

For additional help navigating the certification process, schedule a zoom meeting with an IBCLC Mentor by emailing Ann Seacrest, RN, IBCLC at annseacrest@ars-health.com or by emailing info@nebreastfeeding.org. There is no cost to learn more about becoming an IBCLC. We look forward to sharing information with you!
