Kara Foster, MPH began her public health career working with refugees who had resettled in Nebraska, and has since filled roles in state and international organizations. Kara currently serves as the Education and Training Manager for CityMatCH, a national membership organization of city and county health departments’ Maternal and Child Health programs and leaders representing urban communities in the United States. CityMatCH’s mission is to strengthen public health leaders and organizations to promote equity and improve the health of urban women, families, and communities. She has always been passionate about pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding, but became even more so after becoming a mother herself. In her “free” time, Kara loves to explore the outdoors with her husband and two young sons.
