Business of Breastfeeding

We are pleased and proud to be able to provide scholarships to attend the Lactation Management Exam Prep Course with Linda Smith.  This course is a comprehensive review of the skills and knowledge needed for evidence-based professional lactation consultant practice. The course will help prepare candidates for the certification examination sponsored by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE).

The course consists of six full days of instruction and 54 hours of independent-study clinical exercises conclude with a practice exam to identify strengths and gaps in skill and knowledge. Interactive activities, slides and videos, and skill-building techniques create a uniquely warm and supportive learning environment.

The 2018 Comprehensive course is approved for 90 CERPs by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) and is approved by the Lactation Education Accreditation and Approval Review Committee (LEAARC).

The costs of this course is $975.  There is a discounted rate for Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition Members of $650.  Click here to become a member.

If selected, this scholarship will provide $450 towards the cost of the course and $200 towards the cost of your IBCLC Exam.  Participants will need to pay the remaining $200 for this course by March 1st (the non-member course balance will be $525).
